The Cursor Shortcut offers a convenient way to engage TalkTastic directly within select applications. Look for the microphone in a text field. Simply hover over the microphone icon and click to start a new recording — no keyboard required.

We've learned that while some users prefer keyboard shortcuts, others are more comfortable with mouse-based interactions. The Cursor Shortcut is designed for those who like to keep things simple and intuitive with just their mouse. Simply select a text field and the Cursor Shortcut will appear, hover and go.

You will see the Active Microphone Bubble open at the bottom middle of your screen, just as it does when you engage the Keyboard Shortcut.

Click the three dots next to the microphone to access a menu with extra options, such as disabling Cursor Shortcut in a specific app for 24 hours. This gives you flexibility without changing your workflow.

The Cursor Shortcut settings menu also provides access to additional configurations, and we're actively working on adding more advanced controls to make enabling or disabling this feature even easier. Your feedback is invaluable as we refine these features — we’d love to hear what you think!

You will now see a little ? button in the lower right corner of the desktop app to access keyboard shortcuts, settings, feedback, help, and more. This should make it easier for you to find what you're looking for. If you're here, we're guessing you found it already but it looks like this.

In a future release, we'll be adding history and settings directly to the desktop app itself. We know a lot of you have been asking for this, and we can't wait for you to see it.

Like you, we are very excited to see new features when Apple rolls out their  macOS upgrades. In the latest  macOS upgrade, it appears that certain components ceased functioning for some users upgrading to  macOS Sequoia. We're now urgently addressing these affected areas. We're putting in all our effort to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.
