Whether you are answering an email or sending a short Slack message, TalkTastic is your voice-first keyboard for lightning fast, AI-enhanced writing with your voice and in your voice at the touch of a button.

Let's get started!

TalkTastic Tip: If you haven't yet downloaded and installed TalkTastic for  macOs. Check out our Installation Guide here.

So, you are setup and want to know what to do first! The best thing to do is to open any  macOS app and start speaking.

Let's try a couple of things to get you started!

In this very simple example, you can open Text Edit (an app on all  Macs) and try out TalkTastic.

Try it in TextEdit

  1. Open TextEdit App either via Applications or search. Any app will do.

  2. In the TextEdit app on your  Mac, choose File > New.

  3. Place your cursor on the page and use your shortcut key to speak. In this example, I show how you can also use your mouse to initiate TalkTastic.

TalkTastic Tip: Make sure your cursor is in a text field and that text field is active. TalkTastic can only work where you can type or paste.

What is Auto-Paste?

One of the very best features of TalkTastic is the ability to auto paste what you've said where your cursor is. In the example in the video, we walk you through what is auto paste, how it works and how to change your preferences should you need to.

TalkTastic Tip: You can control how auto-paste works best for you in the menu bar.

Compatibility with  macOS apps

If you can type into an app or paste text into a text field, TalkTastic is compatible with any application on  macOS. Yes, any app!

Try it for yourself!

Try it on something new! See our founder, Matt Mireles, tell you a little bit more about how he uses TalkTastic.
